In Egypt, it is common to tip in the local currency, which is the Egyptian Pound (EGP).

Tipping is a customary practice in Egypt, and it is appreciated for various services such as in restaurants, hotels, taxis, and tour guides.

Here are some general guidelines for tipping in Egypt:

- In restaurants: A tip of around 10-15% of the total bill is customary if a service charge is not already included. You can leave the tip in cash directly to the waiter.

- For hotel staff: It is common to tip hotel staff such as bellboys, housekeeping, and concierge with a small amount of EGP as a token of appreciation for their service.

- Taxi drivers: You can round up the fare or add an extra amount as a tip for taxi drivers.

- Tour guides and drivers: Tipping tour guides and drivers is also common in Egypt. You can consider tipping them based on the level of service provided.

It's always a good idea to have some small denominations of Egyptian Pounds on hand for tipping purposes.

Tipping is a way to show appreciation for good service, but it is not mandatory. Use your discretion based on the quality of service you receive.

Please only use EGYPTIAN POUND, even they would  also except Dollar, Euro, Sterling! If it comes to Coins they are not able to exchange them.
